ABOUT:

John Wittmaack had a modest vision for the handyman business he started in the early 1990s: to change light bulbs for old ladies in big houses. What Dad began, sons Terry and Jon Wittmaack have grown into a thriving home renovation and remodeling company, Man Around the House, in Ridgewood, N.J. (And, no, it doesn't take both of them to change a light bulb these days.) The brothers, though admittedly polar opposites, work in harmony for the most part on the many projects -- more than 1,000 a year -- they take on, and it's that relationship that forms the crux of "Brothers on Call."
